Ryan Houfek Joins ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Board of Directors; Association Appoints COO
CALVERTON, MD (January 27, 2023) — At its January meeting, the Board of Directors of the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý announced the appointment of a new At-Large director and the hiring of a Chief Operating Officer.
Ryan Houfek of Direct Chassis Link, Inc. will be assuming an At-Large seat on the Board effective January 25, 2023. He is currently employed as the Chief Marketing Officer at DCLI. Houfek fills a Director vacancy that was created by the resignation of Rob Cannizzaro, who will be joining the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý staff as the Association’s Chief Operating Officer. In announcing Houfek’s appointment, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Board Chair Shelli Austin said, “Ryan is a welcome addition to the Board of Directors and we look forward to benefiting from his active participation and his intermodal industry experience across multiple stakeholders.”
Rob Cannizzaro, most recently the vice president of operations at Virginia International Terminals, will be joining the Association staff as its Chief Operating Officer, effective January 30, 2023. He is a veteran of the marine industry with experience that includes stints at Hamburg Sud and CMA CGM. Cannizzaro is a graduate of SUNY Maritime College, where he also served as an adjunct lecturer. “After several years on the Board and as a member of the Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee, I am looking forward to continuing my ÐÔÊӽ紫ý journey as a member of the staff,” Cannizzaro shared. Association President and CEO Joni Casey added, “We are excited to welcome Rob as part of the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý team. His professional experience and leadership will benefit ÐÔÊӽ紫ý and the industry.”
